Reclaimed sleepers:
GRADE 1 RECLAIMED First Grade Reclaimed Sleepers.
The best of the reclaimed sleepers in that these are the most straight and the least cracked of the two grades. Dimensions: 2.6m in length, 150-160mm deep and 250mm wide. (approx. 8’6” x 10” x 6”) Weight: They weigh approximately 95kgs each, so it is best to use two people to lift them into position. Colour: They are a dark brown colour with a lovely, aged appearance. Cutting: They are very dense, being hardwood, so you will need to cut them (if required) using a chainsaw or circular saw.

GRADE 2 RECLAIMED Second Grade Reclaimed Sleepers.
The second grade of reclaimed sleepers in that these are not quite as straight or uniform as the first grade and may have slightly more cracks. Dimensions: 2.6m in length, 150-160mm deep and 250mm wide. (approx. 8’6” x 10” x 6”) Weight: They weigh approximately 95kgs each, so it is best to use two people to lift them into position. Colour: They are a dark brown colour with a lovely, aged appearance. Cutting: They are very dense, being hardwood, so you will need to cut them (if required) using a chainsaw or circular saw.

New sleepers:
NEW OAK SLEEPER 130mm x 220mm x 2.6m
New Hardwood Oak Sleepers Straight cut, freshly sawn, new French oak. Dimensions: 2.6m in length, 130mm deep and 220mm wide. Being ‘green’ this means that they still contain moisture so if they are to be used in the home, then they need time to acclimatise and ‘dry out’ before installation. Our sales team can advise on this if you have any queries. New oak is straight cut and generally very uniform, which makes them ideal for stacking or lining up together. They usually have at least one side, which is bevelled, as is the nature of the product. However, this adds to their character and can be shown top great affect on feature pieces such as mantelpieces. Weight: They weigh approximately 95kgs each, so it is best to use two people to lift them into position. Colour: They are a honey colour when newly sawn but fade to an attractive silvery-grey colour as they weather. Cutting: They are very dense, being hardwood, so you will need to cut them (if required) using a chainsaw or circular saw.

Made from softwood, usually pine or spruce. Dimensions: 125mm x 225mm x 2.4m Weight: They weigh approximately 55kgs each. Cutting: They are easily cut with a hand saw or a chain saw.
